Facing Heaven chilli peppers are small conical shaped chilli peppers from China. They belong to the species Capsicum Annuum

Popular in Sichuan cooking, the Facing Heaven pepper is named so as the peppers face upwards towards the sky. Often dried before being use, these peppers have a slight citrus twang and a medium heat at 30,000 to 50,000 SHU.

Fairly prolific plants grow to around 1m tall and produce pods that mature from green to a deep red.
